Plasterboard ceilings dropped down by more than 100mm in Daisy Hill house!
Badly sagging ceilings were found by our inspector when conducting a building and pest inspection in the Brisbane suburb of Daisy Hill in the last week. The plasterboard ceilings had dropped down by more than 100mm. A sagging ceiling would need to be fixed immediately because it’s a safety hazard and could result in the ceiling falling in, and causing extensive damage to the home and it’s inhabitants. If this defect had gone undetected this problem could have potentially cost the purchaser thousands of dollars in repairs, whereas knowing about it prior to purchase has provided an opportunity for negotiation between the buyer and seller.
