Building a new home in Caboolture or surrounds? Invest in a frame stage inspection report for quality assurance and peace of mind.
Whether you’re building a single or double-storey dwelling, an independent frame stage inspection by ASBIR will check for interior defects or incomplete work at this crucial stage of the build.
Our comprehensive building stage report will outline a list of defects for your builder or carpenter to address before progressing to the next stage – giving you confidence that the structural integrity and quality of your dream home is sound.
ABSIR owner and senior inspector, Fred Broekman said many people in the throes of building don’t realise they can book an independent frame inspection – and how it can save them time and money in the long run.
“Getting a qualified inspector to assess every element of the frame means potential issues can be fixed before it becomes a costly exercise or involves other trades such as plasterers, painters or electricians,” Fred said.
In one recent inspection of a two-storey residential property in Caboolture we identified three pages of defects for the builders to rectify before any plasterboard walls were added.
Frame defects included missing noggings, wall studs that needed straightening, adjustments to tie- down rods to ensure correct positioning and bracing of nib walls, just to name a few.
“Many people trust in their builder to do the right thing and don’t feel comfortable double checking their trades’ work because it’s not their area of expertise, or they feel out of their depth.”
“It’s not about criticising your builders, but rather recognising that human error can easily creep in. Building a new home is the single largest investment you will make so it’s a wise move to have a fresh set of eyes inspect the frame and pre-empt any hefty repairs down the track.
“It’s a small price to pay at the outset, to ensure that the underlying structure of your home has been completed to the highest quality and will stand the test of time,” he said.

ASBIR Client Testimonial:
Thank you for a great service! I have just used ASBIR for the Fixing Stage and Handover inspections of my new house construction. I had been following the builder very closely during all stages of construction and did not expect Fred to find many faults during these 2 inspections. Imagine my surprise when he found over 20 faults, some of which I would have never found until several years later.
The office staff kept in touch throughout this entire process and produced the reports promptly in an easy to read format. I required the handover inspection report urgently and the staff did their utmost to make this happen.
It gives you peace of mind to know the ASBIR report is a legal document that can be used if the builder fails to rectify these faults in the required time frames. What sort of price is that worth if a dispute develops?
